Years ago when I was pregnant (this Dana writing), I was on bed rest. I had a very difficult pregnancy and it took me 5 years to get pregnant. We finally got pregnant doing invitro-fertilization with twins. We then lost one and soon after that I had surgery and was put on bed rest as well as going in and out of the hospital for the rest of my pregnancy. I tell you all this to make this story make sense...

My daughter Sydney is 3 (turning 4 in December). On Tuesdays I take her to preschool and I stay there and teach a PreK class and then we go to swim lessons. Well, I had been telling her all day that I needed to vote.

Another Call
ANOTHER CALL
Laura and I have this habit of debriefing after we go to a bible study or meeting. We always call each other on our cell phones and chat about the time there and what I said and what she said. Most the time we are trying to get a feel if one of us said something wrong. (Which can often happen).

Ok…it has been a while since I have made fun of sweet Dana…so here goes!!! When Dana was pregnant, she was “high risk” and had to be in bed most of the time. She did get out every once in a while it was usually in a wheelchair…(wheel chair stories coming soon!)

Giving Birth?
GIVING BIRTH?
I walked in 5 or 6 years ago to Laura's hospital room where she would be giving birth to her first child. It was a boy and she was so excited. Well, when I walk in to the labor and delivery room, she has her medicine and is feeling great.

ok...this one is not for the faint of heart!!!! One time Dana was sitting on the front row at church by herself. Her husband and I were singing in the choir that week. When the offering plate was passed to her row (the FRONT row) she decided for some reason that it was a good time to put on some of her chap stick…

MOVING
Laura and I got to know one another when we were both living in apartments as newly married couples. We got to ( or had to) help each other move in to our first homes. Well it came time for Laura and Jeff to move into their first home. All the boxes were packed and in their house and I was there to help unload.

Dana and I love music…like seriously…we like different kinds of music, she likes beeboppy, pop music/hip hop and I actually like good stuff…but every once in a while we find some music that we both agree on…usually that falls in the realm of Christian worship music.

Rear View Mirror?

REAR VIEW MIRROR
For some reason years ago, I was asked to drive Laura's car. So I sat down in the driver's seat. I got the seat adjusted and started driving. I soon realized that the rear view mirror was really low. I thought I must of hit it and knocked it really off. So I began to adjust it and Laura asked what I was doing.

Big Church or Little Church?

Dana has had some very funny moments with her diabetic lows...(not to say that her diabetes is not very serious, but remember this section is laughing at life) anyway...her husband was out of town many years ago and I was in charge of calling her to make sure that she was ok (sometimes diabetic's blood sugar gets too low and they can either not wake up in the morning or wake up quite "cooky" acting...kind of like they've had too much to drink, but minus the alcohol) welllllllllll.......... this was one of those mornings

A year or so after Laura and I first met, we both decided to enter our homes in a list of houses to be used during a golf tournament. Golfers would come and use our house and our things and pay us. Sounds like a perfect deal! Well it was, we had some awesome pro golfers staying at our houses and we stayed at my mom's.
