St. Basil The Great Greek Orthodox Church – 1100 Eldridge PKWY, #281-679-5395. http://www.stbasil-houston.org 2 very great reasons to visit this church:
#1) The $6 Spaghetti Lunch every Thursday from 11am-1pm. Homemade by fabulous Greek women, it is served with Greek Salad and yummy bread. For dessert you have your choice of Baklava or brownie. YUM!
#2) The annual Greek Festival Usually in May! Mark your calendars because this is an event you will not want to miss. We went for our first time last year and LOVED it. This is a ‘family’ festival (not at all like the one downtown). Tons of stuff for kids to do and the food…Good Lord is it TO DIE FOR! Grab a bottle of Greek wine & the Souvlaki for dinner & Baklava for dessert!!
Roadster’s Ice House– 14610 Grisby Rd (off I-10 & HWY 6). #281-293-0941. They have a covered patio & bar next to the kids sand
play area. 50’s diner flare.
Martha’s Bloomers - 8101 HWY 6, #936-870-4111, www.marthasbloomers.com , this place is so cute! I recommend taking older girls here (age 8+) for lunch and shopping. The restaurant, shops,
and herb gardens are awesome. They hold special tea-party luncheons throughout the year and they are a lot of fun. If you don’t take your daughter here then call the babysitter, grab your best girlfriend’s and head that way for the day. Very fun!
Incredible Pizza 3645 FM 1960 West (1 mile east of Stuebner Airline) #281-583-1410. http://www.ipc1960.com/index.php WOW! This place has it all! Great place for parties, tons to do, kids love it! It’s like Chuck E. Cheese’s on steroids! They also have prizes that focus on Jesus! Like bracelets that say "Jesus loves me".
